How to use Keyboard Event Inspector
Capture key, code, location, modifier, repeat, and composition properties inside an explicit focus target.
What to provide
Focus the capture area and press keys. Browser shortcuts outside the target are not intercepted.
- Use the focused controls in the workspace. Permissions such as camera access are requested only after an explicit action.
- Review the live status and bounded in-memory result. Interactive history is cleared when this component closes.
- Copy or download the result explicitly when the utility offers an export.

The latest KeyboardEvent fields plus a bounded in-memory history.
Privacy and safety
This utility is loaded as browser code and processes your input only in this tab. OmniCastConverter has no upload endpoint and never stores your content, filenames, tokens, or secrets. Generated markup and code are shown as inert text and are never executed.
Limitations
- Keyboard layouts, input methods, accessibility software, operating systems, and browser-reserved shortcuts affect reported values. Deprecated numeric keyCode is reported only for compatibility.
