How to use Variable Font Axis & Instance Inspector
Read OpenType fvar and name tables to show exact design axes, bounds, defaults, hidden flags, and named instances.
What to provide
Drop an uncompressed OpenType variable font. The file is parsed locally and is never rendered or uploaded.
- Choose or drag the local file into the clearly labeled drop area.
- Review the input and the clearly labeled output behavior.
- Select “Run tool” or press Ctrl/Command + Enter, then copy, download, or move the result back into the first input for another pass.
What the result means
A variation-axis table and named-instance coordinate tree.
Privacy and safety
This utility is loaded as browser code and processes your input only in this tab. OmniCastConverter has no upload endpoint and never stores your content, filenames, tokens, or secrets. Generated markup and code are shown as inert text and are never executed.
Limitations
- Everything is processed in this browser tab. Input, filenames, keys, and output are never uploaded or saved. WOFF/WOFF2 should first be converted to TTF. Axis inspection does not grant embedding or redistribution rights.
